History
- At Panchanada Teerth (Panchganga Ghat), Lord Surya installed a Shiv Ling known as Gabhasteeshwar and a devi idol known as Mangala Gauri. The intensity of Lord Surya's penance radiated extreme heat and brilliant rays (mayukha), establishing Mayukh Aditya.
