- The present structure of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple was constructed in 1780 by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore. In 1785, a Naubatkhana was built in front of the temple by Collector Mohd. Ibrahim Khan. Management of the temple was officially taken over by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1983.
