History
- The sacred origin of Mangala Gauri is recorded in Kashi Khand at Panchanada Tirtha (Panchganga Ghat). Lord Surya performed intense penance here to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, leading to the divine manifestation of Mangala Gauri. The temple overlooks the confluence of five sacred rivers.
