History and Significance
History
- Lolark Aditya is situated in the southern part of Kashi near Assi-Ganga Sangam, near Lolark Kund. In ancient times, Lolark Kund was believed to be in confluence with Ganga and Assi river. Lord Surya's mind trembled with joy upon seeing Kashi, anchoring his presence here.
Significance
- Lolark Kund has been given great importance in Kashi Khand. Thousands of childless couples take a ritual bath in Lolark Kund on Bhadrapada Shukla Sasthi (Lolark Chhath) seeking blessings for offspring and relief from skin diseases.
