History and Significance
History
- When the Pandavas were in exile, Queen Draupadi was deeply distressed. She came to Kashi and offered intense prayers to Lord Surya, who was moved by her sincerity and granted her divine relief and protection.
Significance
- Draupad Aditya is one of the twelve sacred solar shrines in Kashi. Devotees visit this shrine to seek relief from acute suffering, hardship, and loss of dignity during challenging times.
