- Bhojeshwar Temple was founded in the 11th century AD by the legendary scholar-king Raja Bhoja of the Paramara dynasty at Bhojpur. Construction of the colossal stone structure was left unfinished, preserving architectural drawings engraved directly onto the surrounding rock quarry. It is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.

- Bhojeshwar Temple in Bhojpur houses a colossal monolithic Shivlinga carved from a single rock, standing 18 feet high (including the limestone pedestal) with a Lingam height of 7.5 feet. The temple features massive stone pillars and a soaring dome supported by octagonal columns. Surrounding rock quarries retain original medieval architectural blueprints etched on stone.
