Significance

  • Pazhamudircholai is the sixth and final abode among Lord Murugan's Arupadai Veedu, nestled amidst dense forests and natural springs. It is famous for the divine episode where Murugan appeared as a young cowherd to test the wisdom of Tamil poetess Avvaiyar under a Jamun tree. Devotees visit the nearby sacred spring Nupura Gangai.
