- Maa Sharda Temple atop Trikuta hill in Maihar dates back to the 6th century AD with an inscription referencing Nupura Deva in 502 AD. Legend links the shrine to the immortal Bundelkhand warriors Alha and Udal, who were ardent devotees of Goddess Sharda. Devotees reach the hilltop shrine via 1,063 stone steps or a ropeway.

- Maa Sharda Mandir in Maihar is a highly revered Siddha Peetha dedicated to Goddess Saraswati/Sharada on Trikuta Hill.
