- Laxman Temple at Sirpur was built in the 7th century AD by Somavamsi Queen Vasata in memory of her deceased husband King Harshagupta. Constructed primarily out of red brick on a high stone plinth, it stands as one of the finest surviving brick temples in India. It is preserved as a national monument by the Archaeological Survey of India.
