- Revered as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, this sacred spot is where the left leg of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen. The goddess is worshipped as Bhramari (the Goddess of Bees), representing the manifestation of Shakti that destroyed the demon Arunasura using a swarm of black bees, while Shiva is worshipped here as Ishwar.
