यः पृथ्वीभरवारणाय दिविजैः संप्रार्थितश्चिन्मयः संजातः पृथिवीतले रविकुले मायामनुष्योऽव्ययः । निश्चक्रं हतराक्षसः पुनरगाद् ब्रह्मत्वमाद्यं स्थिरां कीर्तिं पापहरां विधाय जगतां तं जानकीशं भजे ॥ १ ॥
yaḥ pṛthvībharavāraṇāya divijaiḥ saṁprārthitaścin-mayaḥ saṁjātaḥ pṛthivītale ravikulē māyāmanuṣyo'vyayaḥ | niścakraṁ hata-rākṣasaḥ punaragād brahmatvamādyaṁ sthirāṁ kīrtiṁ pāpaharāṁ vidhāya jagatāṁ taṁ jānakīśaṁ bhaje || 1 ||
"He who, being pure consciousness, was earnestly prayed for by the gods to relieve the burden of the earth — the imperishable one who took birth in the solar lineage as a human through maya — having slain the rakshasas without effort, returned to his original Brahman nature, leaving behind an eternal glory that destroys the sins of the world. I worship that Janaki-pati, that lord of Sita."
