Atharva Veda

The Atharvaveda Samhita contains hymns, charms, prayers, and ritual formulas concerned with healing, protection, prosperity, household welfare, kingship, social harmony, and spiritual reflection. Unlike the more sacrificial focus of other Vedas, it gives special attention to practical human concerns, disease, longevity, peace, and protection from harmful forces. It also includes speculative hymns on creation, cosmic order, breath, Earth, and sacred power.
